Job Description
Job Title – Electrical CAD Designer
Reporting to: LEAD ENGINEER
Qualifications: Diploma/ITI
Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering from a reputed University / Institute with a minimum CGPA of 7 out of 10.
Work Experience:
About 2 to 3 years in Electrical CAD Drafting
The applicant should have hands on work experience in FEED/ Detailed engineering level of Electrical Drawings/ Layouts.as follows:
- Engineering and Technical Understanding: Having sound understanding of basic engineering principles, Electrical systems, and layout designs is essential for accurately modelling complex oil and gas infrastructure, such as refineries, Substation & other Package items.
- Drafting Facility Experience in preparing the following Layouts/Drawings required for infrastructure within the oil and gas industry as per standard Engineering practice.
- Single Line Diagram
- Electrical Equipment Layout
- Electrical Lighting Layout
- Electrical Earthing
- Electrical Standard Installation details
- Small Power Layout
Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting & Preparing Electrical Material Take Off is the key responsibility.
- Prepare Electrical MTO from the Layouts.
- Co-ordination with other disciplinaries for review & update.
- Review of interdisciplinary Layout Drawings for comments/clarification.
- Review of Electrical Vendor drawing for comments
- Maintain & update the Layout drawings/documentation with revision details.
Essentially required skills
1. Technical skills
- Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential. AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Preparing Lighting Layouts using Dialux Software is beneficial.
- Experience in preparing the SLD utilizing the CAD Electrical Symbols & terminology, scope limit/battery limit details, Notes, etc.
2. Knowledge of Software
- AutoCAD
- Dialux
3. Knowledge of Engineering Standards
- Indian Standards-IS
- International Standards-IEC
4.Other skills
- Well versed with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point.
